Leh – Monastery tour – Nubra valley- Pangong lake – Dha hanu- Kargil – Leh

Best season to visit:  15 April to End of September  

Day 01: Arrive Leh Arrive at Leh airport 3505 meters / 11567 ft.

Received by our representative and transfer to hotel. Complete rest for the first half. After lunch if suitable visit sun set famous Shanti Stupa, Leh palace and Market. Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Leh.

Day 02: leh- Monastery tour

After morning breakfast visiting the most important monasteries of Ladakh – Shey Palace, Thiksey Gompa and Hemis monastery. First, we visit the ruined Shey Palace, once the summer palace of the pre-Tibetan kings. The palace monastery houses a large, bronze, blue haired Buddha statue and next stop at superbly situated, 16th century, Thiksey Gompa, which is perched on a hill top and continue to visit Hemis Monastery (5 km from Kharu) is also on the cards. Hemis is the largest and richest monastery complex in Ladakh. Drive back to Leh by noon.  Stay overnight at the leh hotel.

Day 03: Leh Nubra Valley

Morning Drive to Nubra valley over the Khardung la, (18300feet) highest motor able road in the World. The view from top of the passes is amazing. One can see all the way south over the Indus valley to the seemingly endless peaks. After explores we drive toward the down Hunder past an area of rolling sand dunes, one can see double hump Camel and visitors can take a camel safari dune at Hundar. Overnight at hunder nubra valley

Day 04: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shayok

After breakfast at hotel we drive to next destination pangong lake via Shyok and onto Tangtse and Spangmik (Pangong). It’s a short cut and it’s a beautiful route. The road follows the Shyok river, and climbs up a mountain before finally descending into Shayok village. It took us less than an hour to reach Shayok, and we were delighted at the sight of the rather big village surrounded by barren mountains, the entire setting being very picturesque. Afternoon we reach at Pangong lake and enjoy your day at pangong lake. Overnight.

Day 05: Pangong lake -leh

During early morning, you can enjoy a photo-session around the lake. Post breakfast, drive to Leh via Changla pass. In the afternoon, enjoy a shopping tour in the local markets of Leh. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 06: leh – kargil (via dha hanu)

Morning drive in the west of Leh by visiting Kalai Mata temple / Pathar Sahib Gurudwara / magnetic hill and Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), further drive will take at Khaltse where you need to leave Kargil highway and follow river Indus to reach at Achinathang and further drive will take you to Beema village. Your camp is situated at Beema Lastang and check in at your camp. Later proceed to Bema / Dah and Hanu village to see the Aryan race.

Day 07: Kargil – Leh

After breakfast drive back to Leh. Enroute explore Mulbekh Maitrye Buddha Statue / Fatu La pass and Lamayuru monastery – moon valley. Further drive will take you to Alchi monastery – only one constructed in flat ground. Reach at Leh and overnight stay.

Day 08:  departure airport (fly out)

After morning breakfast transfer to Domestic Airport to catch the flight for your onward Destination.
